An unruly passenger was detained and later arrested following allegations of in-flight sexual harassment aboard a domestic flight, marking the second such aviation-related incident reported within a fortnight. The incident occurred mid-journey when a cabin crew member alerted the flight commander about inappropriate behaviour by a male passenger, prompting immediate intervention.
According to preliminary information, the accused allegedly engaged in unwelcome physical contact and inappropriate conduct towards a crew member while the aircraft was cruising. Fellow crew members stepped in to ensure the safety of the victim and other passengers, and the individual was restrained in accordance with standard aviation safety procedures. Upon landing, airport security and local police took custody of the passenger for further questioning.
Airline officials stated that the carrier follows a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of harassment or misconduct on board and fully cooperated with law enforcement authorities. “The safety and dignity of our passengers and crew are paramount.
