Chennai fuel prices continued to remain stable on Saturday, offering relief to commuters and vehicle owners despite fluctuations in global crude oil markets. According to the latest update, petrol is being sold at ₹100.84 per litre, while diesel costs ₹92.39 per litre in the city.

Oil companies are closely monitoring international crude prices and currency movements before making any revisions. Experts say fuel prices may remain under pressure globally due to ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia and concerns surrounding oil supply routes.

Officials also noted that local taxes, freight charges, and dealer commissions continue to influence retail fuel prices across different states and cities in India.
