Former AIADMK MLA V.N.P. Venkatraman officially joined the DMK at Anna Arivalayam in Chennai in the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin. Several AIADMK functionaries also joined the ruling party during the event. Venkatraman, who previously represented the Alandur constituency, said he was happy to work under what he described as a “stable leadership.”
Senior DMK leaders, including K. Ponmudy and R. S. Bharathi, were present during the induction ceremony. The political shift comes amid ongoing internal tensions and defections within the AIADMK ahead of major political developments in Tamil Nadu.
