India’s software and IT-enabled services exports recorded strong growth in 2025–26, according to the Reserve Bank of India’s latest annual survey. The country’s software services exports increased 8.2% year-on-year to $221.4 billion during the financial year. The survey covered thousands of companies involved in computer software and IT-enabled services exports. services include areas such as information technology, business-process services and other technology-enabled activities delivered to overseas clients. The United States and Europe remain important destinations for Indian technology services.

The growth comes as Indian IT companies continue expanding their international operations while also investing in newer technologies, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing and digital platforms. The sector is also an important source of foreign-exchange earnings and employment.

The RBI survey provides a snapshot of the performance of India’s software services industry during 2025–26. The latest export numbers will be closely watched by businesses and policymakers as global demand for technology services continues to evolve.
