Hyderabad, September 5, 2026: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), through its subsidiary HyperVault, is set to develop a large-scale artificial intelligence data centre campus in Hyderabad with an investment of up to ₹70,000 crore.
The proposed campus, planned across about 264 acres in Bharat Future City, will have a capacity of up to 1 gigawatt (GW). The facility is being designed to support high-density computing requirements for frontier AI companies, hyperscalers and global enterprises.
The project will feature advanced liquid-cooled computing infrastructure designed for intensive AI workloads, including AI training and inference. It is also planned around green-energy and water-neutral principles, reflecting the growing focus on sustainable data-centre infrastructure.
According to reports, the project is expected to create around 7,000 direct and indirect jobs, while strengthening Hyderabad’s position as one of India’s leading technology and AI destinations.
The investment marks a significant expansion of TCS and HyperVault’s AI infrastructure strategy. TCS has previously said that HyperVault is intended to build AI-ready data-centre capacity exceeding 1 GW across India, supported by its partnership with TPG. The Hyderabad project is expected to further boost the city’s technology ecosystem and attract more AI companies, hyperscalers and advanced computing investments to Telangana.
The proposed ₹70,000-crore campus could become a major milestone in Hyderabad’s emergence as a global AI infrastructure hub.
