Hyderabad, September 5, 2026: Civic authorities in Hyderabad have joined hands with traffic police to tackle growing traffic congestion and improve vehicle movement across key parts of the city.
The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation are working with traffic police to identify congestion-prone locations and introduce measures aimed at improving traffic flow, particularly during peak hours.
Officials are expected to focus on major junctions, busy roads and areas experiencing frequent traffic bottlenecks. The coordination will include identifying infrastructure-related issues and implementing measures to ensure smoother movement of vehicles.
The initiative comes as increasing traffic volumes continue to put pressure on Hyderabad’s road network. Better coordination between civic agencies and traffic authorities is expected to help address road-related issues more efficiently.
Authorities are also looking at longer-term measures to improve road infrastructure and traffic management. The joint efforts are aimed at reducing delays for commuters and making daily travel across the city more convenient.
Officials have urged motorists to follow traffic regulations and cooperate with enforcement personnel as traffic management measures are implemented.
