HYDERABAD, September 19, 2026: Cyberabad Police are set to deploy a technology-based Multi Violation Detection System (MVDS) on Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road (ORR), enabling multiple traffic violations to be detected using a single camera.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Ramesh reviewed the newly installed system during a visit to the Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) control room on Friday. Officials briefed him on the functioning of the system and its integration with existing traffic surveillance infrastructure.

The single-camera MVDS uses video analytics and automated detection technology to identify different types of traffic violations. The system is designed to monitor vehicle movements in real time and support more efficient traffic enforcement on the ORR.

During the inspection, the Commissioner also reviewed real-time traffic surveillance and other technology-based road safety measures available at the control room.

Officials said the technology could help streamline enforcement by allowing multiple violations to be identified through a single camera rather than relying on separate systems for every violation.

The Cyberabad Police and HGCL are also discussing measures to improve traffic discipline and strengthen road safety along the ORR. The authorities aim to use technology and coordinated monitoring to help prevent accidents and improve traffic management.

The move comes as authorities increasingly rely on automated surveillance and digital enforcement to monitor traffic on Hyderabad’s high-speed road network.
