India is showcasing 37 deep-tech innovations at the Bharat Innovates Exposition being held alongside the BRICS Summit in New Delhi. The exhibition features technologies developed by Indian higher-education institutions and startups.

Among the innovations being presented are artificial-intelligence-based cervical cancer screening systems, AI-supported maternal and fetal monitoring, floating solar photovoltaic technology, marine robotics and rare-earth-free electric powertrain technology.

The exhibition is designed to connect Indian researchers and startups with international companies, investors and academic institutions from BRICS countries. It highlights India’s growing focus on developing advanced technologies domestically and creating opportunities for research and commercialisation.

The event also supports the BRICS education and innovation agenda, with an emphasis on strengthening research ecosystems and encouraging collaboration between universities, startups and industry.

AI-enabled healthcare is one of the major themes represented at the exposition. Technologies aimed at improving screening and monitoring could potentially make healthcare services more accessible and efficient if they are successfully validated and deployed.

The exhibition gives Indian innovators an international platform while also allowing participating BRICS countries to explore potential partnerships in technology, research and investment
