Heavy rainfall continues to affect Delhi-NCR, creating waterlogging, traffic congestion and disruption to daily life. The India Meteorological Department has forecast more rain and thunderstorms in the region, with several areas receiving intense showers. Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport has also experienced waterlogging, affecting road access and creating difficulties for passengers and commuters.
Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious, particularly while travelling through low-lying and waterlogged areas. Traffic movement on important roads has been affected as vehicles move slowly through flooded stretches. The weather conditions are linked to continuing monsoon activity over northern and central parts of India.
The IMD has also warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand and West Bengal. Residents in vulnerable areas have been advised to follow official weather and local administration updates.
