The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in several parts of India today. Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh are among the regions highlighted in the latest weather forecasts.

The weather situation remains varied across the country. Some regions are experiencing significant rainfall while several northern and central areas continue to see warm and humid conditions. Weather conditions can change quickly during this period, particularly in areas affected by thunderstorms and strong winds.

In Kerala, the latest weather information shows temperatures around the high 20s to low 30s in several locations, with high humidity. Kochi, for example, is listed with a forecast range of approximately 27°C to 31°C.

People living in areas under heavy-rain warnings are advised to follow local weather alerts and avoid unnecessary travel during periods of intense rainfall. Motorists should also be particularly careful on waterlogged roads and during periods of reduced visibility.

The weather alerts are especially important for people living near rivers, low-lying areas and locations vulnerable to flooding or landslides. Authorities may issue additional district-level warnings depending on how the weather system develops
