The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) is conducting its monthly grievance-redressal camps across all 15 zones of Chennai today, September 12. The camps are being held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., giving residents an opportunity to raise water and sewage-related complaints directly with officials.

Residents can submit complaints concerning water-supply problems, sewage disposal, water and sewerage tax, and delays in obtaining new connections. The sessions are being conducted under the leadership of zonal monitoring engineers, allowing residents to present their concerns directly and seek assistance.

The grievance camps cover all 15 administrative zones of the Greater Chennai Corporation, from Thiruvottiyur and Manali in the north to Adyar, Perungudi and Sholinganallur in the south. Chennai district administration confirms that the city corporation is divided into 15 zones covering 200 wards.

In addition to addressing complaints, officials are providing guidance on rainwater harvesting systems and explaining how residents can install and maintain them properly at their homes. The initiative is intended to improve public awareness and encourage better water-management practices.

The CMWSSB has urged Chennai residents facing water or sewage-related difficulties to make use of the grievance camps and submit their concerns during the designated hours.

The camps come as Chennai continues to focus on improving civic water and wastewater services across the city. Residents can also use the Greater Chennai Corporation’s online public grievance system to register and track civic complaints.
