A dramatic incident occurred in Hyderabad when a BMW car caught fire near the Begumpet metro station. The vehicle was traveling from Warangal to Manikonda when smoke began to emerge from the engine, alarming the occupants.
The driver acted quickly, stopping the vehicle and ensuring that all three passengers exited safely. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Soon after, the fire intensified, engulfing a significant portion of the car. Firefighters from a nearby fire station responded promptly and managed to extinguish the blaze.
Despite their efforts, about 75% of the car was destroyed in the incident. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by an internal short circuit, though authorities are continuing to examine the exact cause.
The incident caused temporary traffic disruption in the busy Begumpet area. A crane was used to remove the charred remains of the vehicle, allowing traffic to resume normal flow.
This highlights the importance of regular vehicle maintenance and quick response during emergencies. Experts recommend that drivers remain alert to unusual signs such as smoke or engine overheating and act immediately to prevent accidents.
