Hyderabad, September 24: The Cyberabad Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions and diversions at Khajaguda Junction for 60 days from September 26, to facilitate the execution of major water pipeline works in the area.

The restrictions are being implemented for the laying of 900-mm and 1,000-mm diameter water pipelines at Khajaguda Junction. The works are expected to affect traffic movement on several important routes connecting Shaikpet, Gachibowli, Biodiversity Junction and Nanakramguda.

As part of the traffic plan, the service road and free-left movement from KIMS Hospital towards Nanakramguda Road will be temporarily closed. Vehicles travelling from the Biodiversity side will also face restrictions on the right turn towards Nanakramguda Road at the junction.

The traffic police have announced alternative routes for commuters. Vehicles travelling from Shaikpet Flyover towards Khajaguda can use Timberlake Colony Road, pass KIMS Hospital and connect to Nanakramguda Road.

Motorists travelling from beneath Shaikpet Flyover can use High-Tension Road to avoid the affected section. Vehicles approaching from Gachibowli and Biodiversity Level-1 Flyover can take the Pakwan U-Turn and proceed through Khajaguda Lake Road towards Khajaguda.

Officials have warned that traffic congestion is likely around Khajaguda Junction during the construction period. Regular commuters, particularly IT employees travelling through the Gachibowli–Nanakramguda corridor, have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and use the designated alternative routes.

The Cyberabad Traffic Police have also circulated the advisory among relevant traffic authorities and IT companies in the area to improve awareness and minimise disruption during the pipeline work.

The restrictions will remain in force for 60 days beginning September 26, with traffic officials monitoring the situation and managing vehicle movement around the work zone. Commuters have been asked to cooperate with the traffic police and follow diversion signs while the infrastructure work is underway.
