The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has released the KEAM 2026 Trial Allotment, marking an important milestone in the ongoing engineering admissions process. The trial allotment enables candidates to assess their current seat allocation based on their rank, reservation status, and the options they submitted during the online counselling process. It is intended to help students evaluate their chances of securing admission before the final allotment is announced.
Unlike the final allotment, the trial allotment does not guarantee admission to any course or institution. Instead, it offers candidates an opportunity to review the colleges and courses currently allotted to them and make informed changes to their preferences if necessary. Students who are not satisfied with their trial allotment can rearrange, add, or remove their choices within the option registration period to improve their chances in the final allotment.
CEE has advised candidates to log in to the official KEAM candidate portal using their application number and password to check the trial allotment status. Candidates are also encouraged to verify their reservation claims, category details, and the order of their selected colleges before the option editing window closes. Any changes made during this period will be considered for the provisional and first phase allotments.
Following the publication of the trial allotment, CEE is scheduled to release the provisional allotment list on July 7, followed by the first phase final allotment on July 8. Candidates receiving seats in the final allotment must complete fee payment and other admission formalities within the stipulated timeline to confirm their admission.
Education experts have advised students to carefully analyse the trial allotment and use this opportunity wisely, as even minor adjustments in the order of preferred colleges or courses can significantly influence the final seat allotment.
