Indian athletes continued their strong medal-winning performances at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. On October 3, India reached a total of 80 medals — 18 gold, 26 silver and 36 bronze, according to the latest medal tally. Archery and golf produced important results, with Kumkum Anil Mohod winning gold in the women’s individual recurve event. Pranavi Urs also secured an individual gold in golf, while the Indian women’s team won silver. Indian athletes have also performed strongly in boxing, shooting, kabaddi and other disciplines during the Games. The Asian Games are among the biggest multi-sport events in Asia, bringing together athletes from across the continent.
