India and the United States are preparing for the largest-ever edition of the joint military exercise “Yudh Abhyas,” which will be held in Alaska later this year. Around 400 Indian Army personnel are expected to participate alongside US forces in advanced combat and tactical training. The exercise will focus on high-altitude operations, counter-terrorism missions, disaster response, and interoperability between the two armed forces. Defence officials believe the annual exercise will significantly strengthen military cooperation and improve operational readiness under challenging environmental conditions. It also highlights the growing strategic partnership between India and the United States in the Indo-Pacific region. Joint exercises such as Yudh Abhyas help both countries exchange expertise, improve coordination, and develop stronger defence capabilities to address regional and global security challenges. The exercise reflects continued efforts to deepen bilateral defence ties through regular training, technology sharing, and strategic dialogue
