Indian cricket star Virat Kohli has reached another major milestone in international cricket by becoming only the second batter to score 15,000 runs in One Day International cricket. Kohli achieved the landmark during India’s first ODI against the West Indies on September 28.

Kohli reached the milestone during an innings in which he also scored his 55th ODI century. According to reports, he brought up his half-century from only 40 deliveries before continuing to build his innings. He eventually scored a century from 74 balls, including six fours and six sixes.

The achievement places Kohli alongside Sachin Tendulkar as the only two players to cross the 15,000-run mark in ODI cricket. Kohli’s consistency across different generations of Indian cricket has made him one of the most statistically successful ODI batters.

The milestone comes as India continues its preparations for future international competitions. Kohli’s return to a prominent scoring role has attracted considerable attention among cricket supporters.

His latest achievement adds another major record to an already extensive international career and further establishes his place among the leading run-scorers in the history of ODI cricket.
