Indian athletes are entering another busy day of competition at the 2026 Asian Games, with several medal opportunities scheduled for September 22. India had already collected six medals during the opening days of the Games, and athletes are continuing their campaigns across shooting, cricket, badminton, boxing and other sports.

The Indian men’s table tennis team has also advanced to the pre-quarterfinal stage after defeating Pakistan 3–0. The result came after India had earlier suffered a group-stage defeat to Iran. The team will now face South Korea in the next round.
Badminton is another major attraction, with India’s leading players competing against strong international opponents. The day’s schedule also includes events in wushu, karate and several other disciplines.
