India recorded significant growth in merchandise exports to several major markets during August 2026. According to newly reported trade data, exports to the United States increased 21.83% year-on-year to $8.4 billion, while shipments to China rose 52.35%. Exports to Singapore recorded an even larger increase of 161%. The figures come at a time when global trade conditions remain uncertain and businesses are adjusting to changing tariffs and supply-chain patterns.
