Delhi and neighbouring parts of the National Capital Region are expected to experience cloudy conditions and light rain or drizzle today, according to the India Meteorological Department forecast. No major weather warning has been issued for the coming days, but residents can expect humid conditions and occasional rainfall.

The weather forecast indicates generally cloudy skies over Delhi on September 8, with light rain or drizzle possible. Noida and Gurugram are expected to see broadly similar conditions. The weather department has forecast partly cloudy skies for September 9 and 10, while another spell of light rain may occur from September 11.

The conditions come as monsoon activity continues across several parts of northern India. Even when rainfall is not particularly heavy, wet roads and reduced visibility can affect traffic during peak hours. Commuters are therefore advised to allow additional travel time and remain alert while driving.

The upcoming BRICS Summit is also expected to bring additional traffic and security restrictions in parts of Delhi. Weather-related disruptions could make commuting more challenging in areas already affected by diversions.

Residents should continue monitoring official weather updates, especially if travelling during periods of rainfall. The current forecast suggests that Delhi-NCR will remain relatively cloudy and humid, with intermittent light rain rather than a widespread severe-weather event.
