The meeting focused on strengthening innovation partnerships, enhancing research capabilities, and reinforcing Karnataka’s position as a leading destination for global life sciences and pharmaceutical operations.

During the discussions, both sides explored opportunities to deepen collaboration in areas such as research and development, digital healthcare, data science, and advanced pharmaceutical technologies. The proposed expansion of Takeda’s Bengaluru GCC is expected to support the company’s global operations while leveraging Karnataka’s highly skilled talent pool and robust innovation ecosystem.

State officials emphasized Karnataka’s commitment to providing a business-friendly environment for multinational companies through supportive policies, world-class infrastructure, and close industry-government collaboration. The expansion is also expected to generate new high-skilled employment opportunities and attract further investment into the state’s rapidly growing life sciences sector.
