European leaders have reaffirmed their long-term commitment to Ukraine during a high-level “Coalition of the Willing” summit held in Paris, France. Hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron, the meeting brought together leaders from several European countries to coordinate additional military, financial, and humanitarian assistance for Ukraine as the war with Russia continues.
The summit focused on strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities through expanded military aid, including additional air-defense systems, ammunition, training programs, and long-term security cooperation. Leaders also discussed increasing support for Ukraine’s defense industry and improving coordination among European allies to ensure a steady supply of equipment.
Participants agreed to maintain economic pressure on Russia by reinforcing sanctions and targeting sectors that continue to finance the war. They also emphasized the importance of continued diplomatic efforts while making it clear that any future peace negotiations should respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who joined the discussions, thanked European partners for their continued support and stressed the urgent need for additional air-defense systems to protect civilians from ongoing missile and drone attacks. He also called for sustained international unity to help Ukraine withstand continued Russian offensives.
Following the meeting, European leaders pledged to deepen cooperation on defense production, accelerate military assistance, and continue humanitarian support for displaced Ukrainians. They reiterated that Europe remains committed to standing with Ukraine for as long as necessary.
