Authorities have urged residents, particularly those living in low-lying areas and landslide-prone hilly regions, to remain vigilant as persistent rain may lead to localized flooding and disruptions.
According to the IMD, moderate to heavy rainfall is likely in central and northern districts, while thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds may occur in isolated locations. Water levels in rivers, streams, and reservoirs are being closely monitored as continuous rainfall could result in a rapid rise in water levels.
District administrations have advised people residing near rivers, hill slopes, and vulnerable areas to exercise caution. Those living in regions with a history of landslides have been asked to stay alert and follow instructions issued by local authorities.
