Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged Western allies to provide stronger military and air defence support after Russia launched a fresh wave of missile and drone attacks across several Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Odesa. The overnight strikes reportedly damaged residential buildings, energy infrastructure, and transportation facilities, while emergency rescue teams continued search operations in heavily affected areas.

Ukrainian officials stated that multiple civilians were injured during the attacks, with power disruptions reported in parts of the country. Air raid sirens were heard for several hours as Ukraine’s defence systems attempted to intercept incoming missiles and drones.

Speaking after the attacks, Zelenskyy called on NATO partners and European nations to accelerate the delivery of advanced air defence systems and humanitarian assistance. He warned that continued Russian aggression could further destabilize regional security and increase civilian suffering.

Meanwhile, international leaders condemned the strikes and renewed diplomatic discussions on additional sanctions against Russia. The latest escalation has once again intensified global concerns over the prolonged conflict and its impact on European stability and energy security.
