Vishva Hindu Parishad has demanded the removal of Kerala’s Director General of Education following allegations of irregularities linked to an IAS appointment process. The organization claimed that serious procedural violations and fraudulent practices may have occurred during the appointment, raising concerns over transparency and administrative accountability.

According to VHP representatives, the allegations involve irregular documentation and questions regarding eligibility verification connected to the appointment process. The organization has urged the Kerala government to conduct a detailed investigation and take immediate action against officials if any wrongdoing is confirmed.

The issue has triggered political discussions across the state, with opposition groups and social organizations calling for greater transparency in senior administrative appointments. VHP leaders stated that educational administration should remain free from controversy and demanded strict scrutiny of recruitment and promotion procedures within the department.

Government sources indicated that the allegations are being reviewed and that authorities may seek detailed reports regarding the appointment process. Officials, however, have not yet publicly confirmed any evidence of misconduct or irregularities.

Meanwhile, legal experts noted that if formal complaints are filed, the matter could potentially lead to administrative inquiries or judicial review depending on the seriousness of the allegations and supporting evidence. Political observers believe the controversy may become a major topic in upcoming Assembly discussions.

Educational organizations and teacher associations have reacted cautiously, stating that conclusions should only be drawn after a proper investigation. Some groups warned against politicizing the education sector without verified findings, while others demanded stronger oversight mechanisms in government appointments.

The controversy comes at a time when the new Kerala government is facing increased public attention regarding administrative reforms, governance transparency, and institutional accountability. Opposition parties are expected to seek clarification from the government regarding the allegations and any planned investigation into the matter.

Authorities are likely to continue examining the issue in the coming days as political and public reactions continue to grow across Kerala.
