A tragic incident in Hyderabad’s Kukatpally area has taken a mysterious turn after the deaths of a newly-wed couple. Initially believed to be a case of double suicide, police are now investigating the possibility of murder.

The deceased were identified as 28-year-old Karthik and his wife Manjula, aged 27, who had been married only a few months earlier. Karthik is believed to have died by suicide, but the circumstances surrounding Manjula’s death remain unclear.

Police stated that while there were no major reports of ongoing domestic disputes, there had been a minor argument within the family before the incident. The couple was found unresponsive in their home, and the situation came to light when a family member forced open the door after repeated calls went unanswered.

Investigators are awaiting forensic reports, including viscera analysis, to determine the exact cause of death. The couple’s mobile phones are currently inaccessible due to password protection, which is slowing down efforts to uncover potential clues from messages and call records.

Authorities have registered a case under suspicious death provisions, but officials indicated that it could be upgraded to a murder case depending on forensic findings.

The case has sparked concern among residents and highlights the complexity of investigating domestic incidents where initial evidence may be misleading. Police have assured that a thorough investigation is underway to uncover the truth behind the deaths.
