Residents of Bengaluru are facing increasing difficulties due to delays in domestic LPG cylinder deliveries, with many households reporting wait times of over two weeks. The issue has caused widespread frustration, particularly among families that rely on a single gas cylinder for daily cooking needs.

Several consumers have shared their experiences of long delays and poor communication from distributors. In some cases, customers reported waiting more than 20 days after booking a refill. Others had to personally visit gas agencies multiple times to inquire about their orders, only to receive unclear or inconsistent responses.

Adding to the problem, there have been complaints about weak grievance redressal systems. Some users claimed that delivery requests were marked as “completed” in official records even though the cylinders were never delivered. This has raised concerns about accountability and transparency in the distribution process.

Oil companies, however, have responded by stating that the backlog is relatively small and that deliveries are being managed through a first-in, first-out (FIFO) system. They have also advised customers to use helpline numbers to directly contact distributors for updates.

Despite these assurances, the issue continues to affect daily life for many residents. With rising population and demand, the situation highlights the need for improved logistics, better communication systems, and stricter monitoring of essential service delivery in a rapidly growing urban center like Bengaluru.
