Singapore, Nov. 27 — The World Robot Olympiad (WRO) International Final 2025 officially opened today in Singapore, bringing together thousands of young innovators from more than 90 countries. The event, hosted at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, has drawn global attention as one of the largest youth-focused STEM and robotics competitions of the year.

According to reports from Yahoo Finance Singapore, this year’s competition places strong emphasis on real-world problem-solving, with themes centered on smart cities, environmental resilience, and AI-driven automation. Students aged 8 to 19 are competing across multiple categories, including RoboMission, Future Innovators, RoboSports, and the advanced Future Engineers challenge.

Organizers highlighted that WRO 2025 marks a major milestone for Asia’s growing role in global STEM education. The event features new collaborative workshops with tech companies, hands-on AI demonstrations, and talks from leading robotics experts, aimed at inspiring young participants to pursue careers in science, engineering, and technology.

Singapore’s Education Ministry praised the competition for empowering youth to develop critical thinking and innovative design skills. The country’s long-standing support for robotics and AI education makes it a fitting host for this year’s international finals.
