District-level polling preparations are in full swing across Telangana as the state gears up for the upcoming local-body elections. Several district administrations have intensified groundwork to ensure a smooth and transparent nomination process for candidates. As part of early arrangements, help desks have been established in multiple districts, providing guidance to aspiring candidates on documentation, eligibility criteria, and nomination procedures mandated by the Election Commission.

These help desks are staffed with trained officials who assist candidates in filling out forms correctly, verifying required certificates, and clarifying doubts related to election guidelines. Authorities say the initiative aims to reduce last-minute rush, minimize procedural errors, and prevent rejection of nominations due to incomplete or incorrect paperwork — a common issue during elections.

Alongside help desks, polling officials are reviewing logistical arrangements such as polling station readiness, transportation planning, security deployment, and coordination with district-level election teams. Training sessions for returning officers, assistant returning officers, and polling personnel have also been scheduled to ensure adherence to Model Code of Conduct (MCC) standards.

District administrations have further emphasized the importance of public awareness drives, encouraging citizens and candidates to follow election norms and use official helplines for support. Digital platforms and notice boards are being used to disseminate information about key dates, nomination timelines, and MCC restrictions.
