The popular Shivaratri Trade Fair and Amusement Park in Aluva has been officially extended until March 22, giving visitors additional days to enjoy the festivities and entertainment activities. The extension was announced by the Aluva Municipality following a strong public response and large turnout during the event.

The fair is organized every year in connection with the famous Aluva Sivarathri Festival, one of the most significant religious and cultural events in the region. Thousands of devotees and visitors gather along the banks of the Periyar River to participate in religious rituals and celebrations during the festival.

Due to the high number of visitors this year, local authorities decided to extend the trade fair and amusement park so that more people could experience the attractions. The fair features a wide range of stalls selling handicrafts, household items, clothing, food products, and local specialties. In addition, the amusement park includes rides, games, and entertainment programs that attract families and young visitors.

Municipal officials stated that the extension is also expected to increase revenue for the municipality and support local businesses. Vendors, small traders, and entertainment operators participating in the fair are likely to benefit from the additional days of business.

Security arrangements, crowd management measures, and sanitation facilities have been strengthened to handle the large number of visitors expected during the extended period. Authorities have also urged visitors to follow safety guidelines while enjoying the rides and activities at the amusement park.

The extension of the Shivaratri trade fair highlights the cultural importance of the Aluva festival while also providing an opportunity for local commerce, tourism, and community participation in the region.
