Hyderabad experienced rainfall for the second consecutive day, bringing relief from heat but also causing minor disruptions in several areas of the city. According to weather officials, moderate showers were recorded in multiple localities, affecting traffic movement and daily activities.

Areas such as Hayathnagar, Vanasthalipuram, Defence Colony, and Madhura Nagar reported noticeable rainfall levels. Waterlogging in low-lying areas slowed down traffic during peak hours, while commuters faced delays due to slippery roads and reduced visibility.

The Telangana Development Planning Society reported varying rainfall intensities across the city, with some regions receiving significantly higher precipitation than others. In addition, nearby districts like Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri also witnessed moderate showers.

Weather authorities have forecast continued instability, predicting thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds in the coming days. For Hyderabad, a partly cloudy sky with chances of evening or night showers is expected. Temperatures are likely to range between 23°C and 37°C.

While the rain has brought temporary relief from rising temperatures, officials have advised residents to remain cautious, especially during thunderstorms. Commuters are urged to plan travel accordingly and avoid waterlogged routes.

The civic authorities are monitoring the situation and are prepared to respond to any emergencies. The rainfall, though beneficial for cooling, serves as a reminder of the city’s vulnerability to sudden weather changes and drainage challenges.
