Global streaming giant Netflix has opened a major visual effects (VFX) hub in Hyderabad, marking a significant milestone for India’s growing digital content and animation industry. The new facility, operated by Eyeline Studios, is located in the city’s technology district and is expected to create hundreds of new job opportunities.
The facility spans approximately 32,000 square feet and will serve as one of the company’s global production centers. With this launch, Hyderabad joins other major international cities such as Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seoul, and London in hosting Eyeline Studios operations. The hub is expected to employ around 300 professionals by the end of 2026.
The center will focus on advanced visual effects, animation, and digital production technologies used in films and television series produced for global audiences. Industry experts believe the new hub will strengthen India’s position in the AVGC sector, which includes animation, visual effects, gaming, and comics.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and other government officials. Leaders highlighted Hyderabad’s growing reputation as a technology and creative industry hub. They also encouraged further collaborations between international companies and local educational institutions to develop skilled professionals in digital media fields.
Netflix executives said India is one of the fastest-growing entertainment markets in the world, with strong storytelling traditions and a talented workforce. The new VFX facility is expected to support global productions while also helping local artists gain international exposure.
Experts say the investment could significantly boost Hyderabad’s creative economy by attracting more international studios and film projects. It also reinforces the city’s position as one of India’s leading centers for technology, media, and entertainment.
The development is seen as a positive step toward transforming Hyderabad into a global hub for digital content creation.
