A shocking road rage incident was reported in Kochi where a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation) bus crew was allegedly attacked by two youths, prompting a police investigation. The incident took place near Kuttamassery during a scheduled bus service operating between Aluva and Adoor.
According to initial reports, the altercation began when the KSRTC bus blocked the path of two youths riding a two-wheeler who were attempting to overtake another vehicle. Angered by the situation, the youths reportedly chased the bus, intercepted it, and initiated an attack.
The attackers allegedly hurled a helmet at the bus driver and physically assaulted the conductor. Both crew members sustained injuries in the incident and were later taken to a hospital in Aluva for medical treatment. Fortunately, their injuries were not reported to be life-threatening.
Passengers onboard the bus were left shocked by the sudden violence. Following the incident, many of them reportedly left the bus and continued their journey using alternative transport arrangements.
The Aluva police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the accused. Authorities are examining available evidence and are expected to take strict action against those involved.
This incident has once again raised concerns about increasing cases of road rage and public safety on Kerala’s roads. Officials have urged motorists to remain calm and responsible while driving, emphasizing that such aggressive behavior can lead to serious consequences.
Overall, the attack highlights the urgent need for stricter enforcement of road safety norms and awareness to prevent similar incidents in the future.
