Thiruvananthapuram, July 25: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Kerala, has announced the Plus Two SAY (Save A Year) and Improvement Examination Results 2026, providing thousands of students with an opportunity to continue their higher education without losing an academic year. Candidates who appeared for the examinations can now access their scorecards through the official Kerala results portals.

The SAY examination is conducted every year for students who were unable to clear one or more subjects in the regular Higher Secondary Examination, while the Improvement Examination allows eligible students to improve their marks in selected subjects. The supplementary examination enables successful candidates to pursue higher education in the same academic year, avoiding the need to wait for the next annual examination.

Students can check their results by visiting the official websites of the Kerala Higher Secondary Education Department and entering their register number and date of birth. The online scorecard includes subject-wise marks, total marks, and the qualifying status. Authorities have advised students to verify all personal and academic details appearing on their mark sheets and immediately report any discrepancies to their respective schools.

Following the declaration of results, schools across the state have begun guiding successful candidates regarding the admission process for undergraduate courses and other higher education programmes. Students who have improved their scores may also become eligible for courses and institutions requiring higher cut-off marks.

Education officials stated that the SAY and Improvement examinations are an important component of Kerala’s education system, offering students a second opportunity to achieve academic success while reducing the stress associated with losing an academic year. The initiative has consistently helped thousands of students continue their educational journey without significant delay.

The Directorate has advised candidates to download and preserve a copy of their online scorecard for future reference until the original mark sheets are issued through their schools. Students seeking admission to colleges are encouraged to complete the necessary application procedures promptly, as admissions to various undergraduate programmes are currently underway.
