A serious road accident near Hyderabad has left 19 people injured after a cement mixer truck rammed into a stationary school bus. The incident occurred in Siddipet district when the bus, carrying students and staff, was parked at the roadside.

According to police reports, the truck driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. The impact injured 16 students between the ages of 6 and 13, along with three members of the school staff. Fortunately, most injuries were minor, and 17 victims were discharged after receiving first aid.

However, two individuals sustained more serious injuries involving the head and neck. They were initially advised hospitalization at a government facility but were later shifted to a private hospital after arrangements were made by the school administration.

Authorities have registered a case against the driver under provisions related to attempted culpable homicide. Investigations are ongoing to determine further details, including the circumstances leading to the crash and whether additional charges will be filed.

The incident has raised concerns over road safety and enforcement of drunk driving laws in the region. Parents and local residents have called for stricter monitoring of heavy vehicle drivers, especially near school zones.

Officials have reiterated the importance of responsible driving and warned that strict action will be taken against those violating traffic laws. The accident serves as a reminder of the dangers posed by reckless driving and the need for increased vigilance to ensure public safety.
