A tragic mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, Canada has left at least 10 people dead, including the suspected shooter, and dozens more injured, officials said. Six victims were found dead inside Tumbler Ridge Secondary School, while another died on the way to hospital and two more were found dead at a nearby residence believed to be connected to the incident.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) responded to an active shooter report on Feb. 10, 2026, and described the situation as rapidly evolving. Authorities said more than 25 people were injured, with at least two airlifted to hospitals with serious injuries.

Residents were placed under shelter-in-place orders during the incident, and schools in the area were locked down. Officials said they do not believe there are additional suspects or ongoing public danger.
