The advisory comes as active monsoon conditions persist over Telangana, bringing intermittent showers and strong surface winds to several districts.
According to the IMD, Hyderabad is likely to experience overcast skies for most of the day, with isolated thundershowers expected during the afternoon and evening. Authorities have also issued a Yellow Watch for strong winds, warning that gusts of 40–50 kmph may occur at isolated places in Hyderabad and nearby districts. Residents have been advised to remain cautious during periods of heavy rain and strong winds.
The expected rainfall is likely to bring temporary relief from the recent warm and humid conditions, although high humidity levels may continue throughout the day. Motorists have been advised to reduce speed on wet roads, avoid waterlogged routes, and follow official traffic advisories before travelling.
The IMD has also urged residents to stay indoors during thunderstorms, avoid standing under trees or near electric poles during strong winds, and secure loose outdoor objects that could become hazardous. People living in areas prone to flooding have been asked to remain vigilant and monitor official weather updates.
