Hyderabad, July 6: Global food and beverage giant Nestlé India has announced plans to establish a new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, reinforcing the city’s growing reputation as one of India’s leading technology and business services hubs. The upcoming centre is expected to play a key role in supporting Nestlé’s worldwide operations through advanced digital solutions, analytics, finance, supply chain management, and business support services.

The proposed GCC will serve as a strategic hub for innovation and operational excellence, helping the company streamline its global business processes while leveraging Hyderabad’s highly skilled workforce. The facility is expected to employ professionals across diverse fields, including information technology, artificial intelligence, data analytics, finance, human resources, and digital transformation.

Industry experts believe the investment reflects the increasing confidence of multinational corporations in Hyderabad’s robust infrastructure, business-friendly policies, and deep talent pool. Over the past few years, the city has attracted several global capability centres established by leading international companies, strengthening Telangana’s position as a preferred destination for knowledge-based industries.

The Telangana government welcomed Nestlé’s decision, stating that the investment will generate high-quality employment opportunities and contribute to the state’s expanding technology ecosystem. Officials noted that Hyderabad continues to emerge as a global centre for innovation, supported by world-class office infrastructure, research institutions, and an efficient startup ecosystem.

The new GCC is also expected to collaborate with Nestlé’s international teams to develop digital tools, improve operational efficiency, and support decision-making across global markets. By centralising key business functions, the company aims to enhance productivity while accelerating innovation across its worldwide operations.

Business analysts view the announcement as another milestone in Hyderabad’s rapid transformation into a global corporate destination. With multinational companies increasingly choosing the city for their technology and business operations, the latest investment is expected to strengthen the local economy, create thousands of indirect employment opportunities, and further enhance Hyderabad’s standing as one of India’s fastest-growing centres for global business services.
