The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has invited applications from experienced umpires and scorers for the upcoming 2026–27 domestic cricket season. The recruitment drive aims to strengthen the panel of match officials responsible for conducting league, district, and association tournaments across Hyderabad and Telangana.
According to an official notification issued by the HCA, eligible candidates with prior experience in cricket officiating or scoring are encouraged to submit their applications on or before July 8. The selected candidates will be empanelled to officiate in various HCA-organised competitions, including age-group tournaments, club matches, and senior league fixtures during the new season.
Applicants are required to meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the association and provide supporting documents related to their experience, certifications, and previous officiating assignments. The association may also conduct assessments or interviews before finalising the panel.
HCA officials stated that the initiative is intended to improve the standard of officiating and scoring by bringing in qualified professionals capable of ensuring fair play and maintaining accurate match records. Skilled umpires and scorers play a crucial role in upholding the integrity of the game, particularly as cricket continues to witness increasing participation at the grassroots level.
The association has urged interested candidates to carefully read the application guidelines and complete the submission process before the deadline. Late or incomplete applications are unlikely to be considered.
The recruitment comes as the Hyderabad Cricket Association prepares for a busy domestic calendar featuring numerous league competitions and talent development tournaments. The expanded panel of officials is expected to help ensure the smooth conduct of matches throughout the season.
Cricket enthusiasts and experienced officials interested in contributing to the development of the sport in Hyderabad have been encouraged to seize this opportunity and become part of the HCA’s officiating team for the 2026–27 season.
