Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla delivered a strong economic outlook for the state in his address to the Assembly, spotlighting Hyderabad’s role as a key engine of growth. He noted that Telangana’s per capita income has reached ₹4.18 lakh, with a Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) projected at ₹17.82 lakh crore for 2025‑26, maintaining a robust growth rate of 10.7%.

Under the ambitious “Vision‑2047: Telangana Rising”, the state government aims to build a $3 trillion economy by fostering industrial expansion, global investments, and infrastructure development. Major strategic initiatives include transforming Kodangal into a major industrial hub, constructing a green expressway to Bandar port, and establishing new airports in Adilabad and Warangal. Additionally, Shamshabad is envisaged as a bullet train hub, enhancing connectivity across regions.

Urban development plans emphasize Hyderabad’s inclusion in large-scale projects like the CURE city planning model and administrative restructuring to better manage growth. The services sector, particularly Bengaluru‑style IT and tech contributions, accounts for 68% of the state’s gross value added, reinforcing Hyderabad’s stature as a global tech hub.

The Governor’s address also underscored the state’s export performance—ranking seventh nationally—and its continued push for inclusive and sustainable development. With Hyderabad at the forefront of these efforts, policymakers hope to blend economic ambition with social progress, positioning Telangana as a model for long-term resilience and growth.
