Weather authorities have predicted light rain and possible thunderstorms in several districts of Kerala over the next few days. A green alert has been issued for eight districts, indicating the possibility of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by occasional lightning or gusty winds.

According to weather officials, the change in weather conditions is mainly due to local atmospheric instability and moisture in the lower atmosphere. While most parts of the state are experiencing rising summer temperatures, isolated rainfall and thunderstorms may occur during the afternoon or evening hours.

District administrations have advised residents to remain cautious during thunderstorms. People are encouraged to avoid standing under trees during lightning, stay away from open water bodies, and secure loose outdoor objects during strong winds. Fishermen and those traveling near coastal areas are also advised to monitor weather updates.

The rainfall may provide temporary relief from the intense summer heat currently being felt across Kerala. However, authorities have noted that temperatures are still expected to remain relatively high during daytime hours.

Emergency response teams and local authorities are monitoring the situation closely to ensure public safety. Residents are advised to follow official weather updates and take necessary precautions if thunderstorms occur in their areas.
